SXU will host the annual Hoops for Hope event during the women's basketball game at 1 p.m. and the men's basketball game at 3 p.m. against conference rival Olivet Nazarene University. The 2019 Hoops for Hope will benefit an SXU Family in need -- Mary and John Scudella and their three children.

The t-shirts are $15 each and will be sold at the Shannon Center front desk starting Monday, January 14. T-shirts will also be sold in the SXU Diner on Thursday, January 17 and Friday, January 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Please join us for some fun-filled games as we raise money!

During the men's game at 3 p.m., SXU Alumni Lindsay Sullivan DeVries will be performing the National Anthem as well as a special mini-concert at halftime with her band "Linzy and Coax". They will perform three fun and upbeat songs that people can sing along to! Linzy and Coax is a band that performs all over the city and we are so happy to have them perform for the Scudella family and fans at Hoops for Hope. Lindsay was also Mary Scudella's roommate in the residence halls during her time at SXU.
