Cougar Trax will begin with New Student Induction. At New Student Induction, students are greeted by the president of the University, Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D., and other members of the University community. The event includes a featured speaker who will discuss Saint Xavier's Mercy heritage and enduring mission. During the induction, students are presented with a Saint Xavier medallion to symbolize their membership in the SXU community and the beginning of their academic careers. The event will be followed by a community reception open to all.

Dress for New Student Induction is business casual, (no jeans, no gym shoes, no baseball caps, etc.) Bring extra comfortable attire as you’ll be moving around for the rest of the program.
