What is your favorite thing about working at SXU?
My favorite thing about working at SXU is the welcoming environment that the staff, students and faculty bring. Anytime you see someone in a hallway, you’re sure to greet each other. If someone needs assistance, there's always someone there to help you with the process. You're never left alone to figure something out, which I’m glad carried over in my transition from Saint Xavier student to staff member.
What makes SXU special?
What makes SXU special is definitely the small class sizes. You get more one-on-one help from the professors at SXU than you would at other universities. You get to know the people around you and build a strong sense of community.
Can you name one of your favorite events on campus and why?
One of my favorite events on campus is Therapy Dog Day. It is a monthly event where therapy dogs come to campus and students get the chance to relax and hang out with them. The atmosphere during this event is always warm and welcoming.
What is some advice you would give students about transitioning from high school to college?
Some advice I would give is don’t be afraid to take risks or ask questions. The transition can be a challenge, but it’s a learning curve for everyone. There are no wrong questions. This is a time for expanding your horizons so take those risks because they may lead to another great thing.
What is your favorite location on campus?
My favorite location on campus is the library. Whether you're alone or with friends, it is a serene and relaxed area to get work done and there are a lot of helpful resources if you need anything for your classes.
