Rebecca Powell is a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at Governors State University where she obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science following studies in Electrical Engineering. Powell is currently in pursuit of her Doctorate in Computer Science.
For more than twenty-five years Powell has held various positions in the field of engineering and technology while also tutoring high school students in STEM. For the past four years she has held positions in higher education as associate professor, visiting professor, adjunct faculty and in Curriculum Development. Powell has taught both on-ground and online courses in Networking, Voice & VoIP Administration, Systems Analysis, Business Information Systems, Operating Systems, Ethics in Information Technology and introductory courses to computer science students seeking to captivate the next generation of computer scientists.
