Stan Klatka, Ph.D., received his doctorate from Northcentral University in 2016 and has taught undergraduate and graduate students in management and marketing programs. Dr. Klatka teaches in the Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University. He teaches a graduate course in Marketing Management. At the undergraduate level he teaches courses ion Entrepreneurship, Marketing Strategy, Service Excellence, Sales Management, Online Consumers & Social Communities, Principles of Marketing, Business Matters, International Business, Human Resource Management, Consumer Behavior, and Promotional Strategy.
Dr. Klatka joined Saint Xavier in 2017 after teaching at Rockford University and the University of St. Francis. Since receiving his Ph.D., he has worked with his graduate marketing classes developing marketing plans for several local organizations. He also assists the Mother McAuley High School Entrepreneurship Club as a guest speaker and informal advisor, and he met with participants at the Latino Business Summit at Guaranteed Rate Field in August, 2019, to discuss Entrepreneurship, for which he is a subject matter expert.
Dr. Klatka is presently writing an academic journal article entitled A Cross-National Analysis of Global Brand Purchase Intent, which will also be presented at a 2020-21 academic conference. He has previously supervised one Master's thesis and his current research focuses on Cross Cultural Consumer Behavior, Global Branding & Marketing Management, as well as Entrepreneurship, Retailing/Service Excellence, and Sales & Sales Management. Dr. Klatka also consults with entrepreneurs and established companies seeking his expertise in marketing and new product development. He is an active member of the American Marketing Association, the Academy of Marketing Science, the Marketing Management Association, the Midwest Business Administration Association International, the Academy of International Business, and the Academy of Management.
Prior to academia, Dr. Klatka was adjunct faculty at several universities since 1994, and full-time faculty since 2011. He has held senior sales and marketing positions from 1984-2011. Dr. Klatka has also started three separate entrepreneurial businesses, has traveled extensively having visited over 30 countries and 40 U.S. states, and is fluent in the Polish language.
