Kristel Flynn has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in communication, media and theatre. Her work in higher education has been at both the community college and university levels, where she served in administrative and faculty roles. Her work as the director of the TRIO program at Saint Xavier has helped increase the graduation and retention rates of students from first-generation and limited-income backgrounds, as well as students with disabilities.
Flynn also serves as adjunct faculty in the communication department, where she helps students build confidence in their public speaking skills. Flynn is passionate about providing support to students on their journey to personal and professional success. In her spare time, she enjoys international travel, baking all things chocolate and performing with her theatre groups, Stray Dog and the Gaelic Park Players.
