Saint Xavier University (SXU) Vice President of Mission and Ministry Dr. Graziano Marcheschi was recently quoted in the Friday, September 23 issue of DNAinfo Chicago. The article examines the history of saying "God Bless You" after someone sneezes. Dr. Marcheschi recalls the catch phrase being around for centuries, specifically following a plague in Rome around 590 AD. He is stated saying, "God Bless You remains undiminished even in our rational and increasingly secularized world."
