Saint Xavier University's (SXU) School of Education (SOE) will host a Kappa Delta Pi Society event, which will be held on Sunday, April 10 from noon to 2 p.m., and will feature twenty-five year Chicago Sun-Times veteran reporter Maudlyne Ihejirika as the special guest speaker. Ihejirika will give an informative 15-minute talk on the education beat from the 1990's to the present. Her insights on education will be an inspiration to our students who will hear about some of the best "I care" teachers she has encountered through the years, and the qualities that set them apart as well as the student success stories.

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is an international honor society in education that was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. For over a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to becoming the international organization it is today, with an initiated membership that exceeds 1.2 million. We are so excited that many SXU students will be joining this Society during this special ceremony.
