SXU’s softball team ends season with a program history finish and NAIA national runner-up

Saint Xavier University’s (SXU) softball team made program history in recent weeks as they played for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series title. Heading into the final days of the tournament, SXU had been the only undefeated team, proving they were a force to be reckoned with as the they prepared for the national championship game. After a tireless effort from SXU, the team fell twice to Oklahoma City University, who went 2-0 on the last day to claim their ninth national championship and first since 2007.
