SXU hosts Santa Cougar Two-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Saint Xavier University (SXU) will host its Santa Cougar Two-Miler Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, December 10 starting at 9:30 a.m. Register on this day only starting at 8:45 a.m. in the Shannon Center lobby. The cost is $5 per person. Participants are encouraged to bring one new un-wrapped toy for Toys for Tots on behalf of the SXU Student Veteran Organization.
All participants will receive a Santa hat and beard, hot chocolate, pictures with Santa and the Cougar Mascot and arts and crafts for the kids. Also stop by Gilhooley’s after the event for lunch and drink specials!
The two-mile route starts at 103rd and Hamlin and travels west to 103rd and Pulaski, north to 99th and Pulaski, east to 99th and Central Park, south to 103rd and Central Park, and back to The Shannon Center. Participants will run or walk on the sidewalks, as the streets will not be closed off. Volunteers will be at each intersection and corner. This is not a timed race and awards will not be given out. This is just for holiday fun and it’s a great event to do with families and friends in the community!
