Condolences to the Loftus Family

Dear Saint Xavier University Community,

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Dr. Gerald (Jer) F. Loftus, husband of trustee Mary Clare Loftus. As long-time friends of the University, Dr. Loftus and Mrs. Mary Clare Loftus have been among Saint Xavier's most generous lifetime donors and supporters. The Loftus Room in Rubloff Hall was named in recognition of their generous support. In 2011, Dr. Gerald F. and Mrs. Mary Clare '65 Loftus received the Shield of Saint Xavier at the 26th Annual Saint Xavier University President's Scholarship Ball. May God Bless Gerald Loftus with eternal happiness. Memorials to the Saint Xavier University Gerald and Mary Clare Loftus Nursing Scholarship or Mercy Hospital Foundation 2525 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60616 are appreciated.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. at Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 West Adams Street, Chicago. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 10 a.m. at Old St. Patrick's Church. Interment private.
