Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Graham School of Management's (GSM) Associate Economic and Finance Professor Reza Varjavand recently penned a column in the Friday, January 6 issue of the Daily Southtown. In his column, he addressed the benefits that could come from the United States government phasing out cash. Specifically, Prof. Varjavand discussed whether economists believe this to be a solution to the problems arising from cash transactions and the illegal activities facilitated by cash.
