SXU Career Services Prepare Students for Grad School Opportunities

Date:10/29/2018

Saint Xavier University's (SXU) Career Services is continuously designing new ways to help shape the future for SXU students, whether it is through their numerous Cougar Connect networking events, inviting students to Cougar Career Chats or providing new chances for students to improve their resumes and interview skills.

Cougar Career Chats are informal walk-in opportunities on campus where students are offered the chance to learn more about upcoming networking events, sharpen their resumes, learn proper interview tactics and develop a robust understanding of their future plans. The Get Experience Edition held on October 29 was aimed at offering SXU students a day to learn more about leadership positions, internships and part-time jobs that could prepare them for lifelong success after graduation, coming quick on the heels of the Fall Internship and Job Fair.

On Monday, November 5, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Career Services are preparing interested SXU students for a future in graduate education. Held in room L-127 of the Warde Academic Center, Cougar Career Chats: Grad School Edition is the place to hear tips for writing personal statements and choosing the program that is right for each individual. This comes just days before the SXU Graduate and Professional School Fair and the SXU Graduate Programs Open House. Career Services are dedicated to giving all SXU students as many advantages as they can leading into these two events, both open to the public. All are encouraged to attend Cougar Career Chats and learn all the ways they can better shape their futures.

For more information on Career Services or for questions about upcoming calendar events, email Jodi Martin at malloymartinFREESXU. All are invited to attend the Graduate and Professional School Fair on November 7 and the SXU Graduate Programs Open House on November 9.
