The Saint Xavier University (SXU) football program announced the 2019 game schedule on Tuesday, April 30. The two-time defending MSFA Midwest League champions are scheduled to host five home games in the upcoming season.

For the second season in a row, the Cougars will begin their season on the road when they travel to Southport, Michigan and face a brand new program in Lawrence Tech. The Cougars and the Blue Devils will kick off the 2019 season on Saturday, September 7.

Following a bye week, the Cougars will make their Deaton Field debut on Saturday, September 21 against NCAA Division III University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Warhawks last visited Deaton Field in 2004 and this season's matchup will be the sixth in the series.

Homecoming Weekend is slated for Saturday, September 28 when SXU takes on Concordia. The Cardinals will be coming off of their first ever NAIA postseason appearance, reaching the NAIA FCS quarterfinals.

The Cougars will open Midwest League play on Saturday, October 5 when they host Trinity International. SXU will then hit the road for two weeks, playing against Robert Morris and Missouri Baptist, before closing out the month of October with a home game against Lindenwood-Belleville.

SXU has one home game scheduled for the month of November against Olivet Nazarene on Saturday, November 9. The Cougars will then close out the 2019 regular season in Joliet, Illinois against St. Francis on Saturday, November 16.

The Cougars won their second straight Midwest League title last year and finished with a 9-4 overall record, reaching the quarterfinals of the NAIA Football Championship Series.
