SXU Hosts 8-Week Nutrition Class at Shannon Center
Saint Xavier University (SXU) is dedicated to offering its students, faculty, staff and community every chance possible to better themselves. As the first month of 2019 closes in on its final days, the Shannon Center is organizing new opportunities for people to reach their health and fitness goals. For many people, the resolution to achieve a healthier lifestyle also comes with the desire for six-pack abs that often leads to jumping the gun, resulting in an unsustainable and sometimes dangerous routine. Finding a routine that works for individual needs at SXU is really quite simple when checking out the workout room, indoor track or fitness class.
All are invited to join the 8-week Nutrition Weight Loss Program taught by Kelly Devine Rickert, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN. The program begins on Tuesday, January 29, at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Costs for enrolling in the class:
$40 for enrolled SXU students
$75 for SXU faculty and staff
$75 for SXU alumni and Shannon Center members
$95 for community members
This program involves eight classroom sessions taught from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. in the Shannon Center Alumni Room. Attendees will be provided with PowerPoint presentations, informative handouts, meal plans and weekly reviews of food journals.
