SXU Named a 2023-2024 Military Friendly® School
Saint Xavier University (SXU) has been named a Military Friendly® School by Military Friendly® for the fourth year in a row. For the 2023-2024 year, the University has earned Silver status.
Methodology and criteria consider an institution's practices, outcomes and programs, combining survey responses and government/agency public data sources with a logic-based assessment. Institutions are measured by their ability to meet thresholds for retention, graduation, job placement, repayment, persistence and loan default rates for student veterans.

I am grateful for our new veterans compliance advisor, Matthew Maltese, as well as the collaborative efforts from the Offices of Financial Aid and Institutional Research, who are vital components to our success. We look forward to continuing to serve and connect with our student veterans, who strengthen our learning community with their important and diverse perspectives," said Gricelda Gonzalez, assistant director of Records and Registration.
Saint Xavier is committed to serving veterans and assisting with their transition to college. Veteran students are provided with many resources to help them achieve their educational goals. SXU is also a proud participant of the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program, which helps to fund qualified student veterans' tuition expenses.
The SXU Student Veteran Alliance (SVA) advocates and assists SXU student veterans and their families by promoting camaraderie through community outreach and social support and by committing to academic and professional success. SVA holds regular meetings and hosts events, including bake sales, toy drives and an annual veterans' breakfast on Veterans Day for SXU student veterans and supporters. The SXU campus also proudly displays a Veterans Memorial, a site that honors the military branches of the U.S. and veterans who served the nation.
