SXU Community Prepares for 2026
As the Saint Xavier University (SXU) community prepares to enter the new year, faculty, staff and students are reflecting on a successful 2025 and thinking about honoring resolutions that support the University's Mercy mission.
In 2025, SXU celebrated the Investiture of President Keith Elder, Ph.D., the 90th anniversary of its School of Nursing, the University's largest freshman enrollment ever, numerous accolades from U.S. News & World Report, Colleges of Distinction and Niche, and the launch of its new strategic plan, Innovate 2028.
As the community looks toward 2026, working Together in Mercy is at top of mind.
"I am looking forward to participating in more service projects in 2026, highlighting compassion and respect. The RSOs on campus hold plenty of opportunities to support the community and those in need. I also plan to get involved with Campus Ministry and go on the Spring Break Service Trip. Giving back is an important part of my college experience." – Student
“The core value that I'm prioritizing in 2026 is learning for life. I hope to attend conferences, participate in continuing education opportunities, and engage in courses or programs that will help me to better support our students. I look forward to professional development and personal growth, which will help me better support the University in accomplishing the goals of its strategic plan." – Staff
"Excellence means a lot to me. In 2026, I am going to refine and improve my courses so that students have the absolute best experience. SXU is well-known for its high-quality education and rigorous curriculum, and I want to ensure that students in my classes feel well-prepared to take the next step, whether that's attending graduate school or beginning their careers. It's my responsibility and privilege as a professor to contribute to developing tomorrow's leaders." – Faculty

I know that it matters both within my future role and my interactions with those at SXU and in the greater community.
