SXU Senior Graduates with Triple Major

Saint Xavier University (SXU) senior Lidia Jablonski just graduated from SXU with a triple major and multiple accolades, and she's heading to graduate school with confidence.
Jablonski, who majored in digital marketing, finance and management, chose to pursue three majors for the freedom of career mobility. Jablonski found the majors fun and challenging, and she believes the skills she gained will be relevant to any job.
As a first-generation student, Jablonski appreciated the care she received from SXU faculty and staff, whom she credits with making the process of navigating higher education easier.
"I chose SXU for many reasons, but one of the biggest was the significant academic scholarship I was offered. Finding ways to finance higher education was a major challenge for me, but I was able to pursue my degree with ease thanks to the University. Being a member of the TRIO program also played an important role in my journey as a first-generation student. The organization welcomed me with open arms and truly made me feel like I belonged," said Jablonski.
Jablonski appreciated that the courses at SXU felt tailored to the educational needs of the students, which she believes was a contributor to her success.
"The curriculum at SXU offered a particular set of courses that interrelated with one another, which has prepared me for my future. There were so many moments throughout my studies when I had that 'aha' moment, where an idea I learned from one class was connected to an idea I learned in a new class. Some of the most important skills I learned were hands-on skills gained through marketing and investment simulations, which I found to be clever ways to engage students," said Jablonski.
Jablonski was very involved on campus, serving as secretary for the Pre-Law Association and the Polish Student Association and member of several other clubs.
"Being a part of these clubs and events meant a lot to me. They gave me a chance to step away from my assignments and responsibilities and be a part of the SXU community. The memories I've made with my friends in the clubs are ones that I will never forget," said Jablonski.
Jablonski found the academic side of her SXU journey to be just as memorable.
"We played a game called Business Walrus in one of my marketing classes with Professor Cicchirillo. Our class was paired into groups and had to come up with a product based on different prompts and cards that we received, and my classmates and I came up with the funniest product pitches. It was a blast. Professor Cicchirillo really made a difference during my time at SXU. Not only was he an incredible professor who taught his courses in engaging and entertaining ways, but he was also a mentor. He guided me through the process of applying for graduate school, which I am beyond grateful for," said Jablonski.
While at SXU, Jablonski earned many honors, including being named to the Dean's List for two years, becoming a member of the Tau Sigma Honor Society, which recognizes transfer students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and becoming a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, which recognizes the top 10% of business students. Additionally, Jablonski received CME group certificates in the finance courses Futures and Options and Risk Management.
In the fall, Jablonski will begin working toward a master's degree in business analytics at Loyola University in Chicago.
"I am indescribably grateful to Saint Xavier University for all the support, encouragement and fine education I've received here. My undergraduate education could not have been as meaningful anywhere else, and I am proud to be part of this amazing community."
