Degree Completion Scholarship for South Suburban College Students

This scholarship is exclusive to students attending South Suburban College (SSC) full-time, taking 12 or more credit hours per semester, and having earned a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. Transfer students from South Suburban College must have completed their associate degree and be newly admitted to Saint Xavier University for the upcoming semester to qualify. The recipient is required to enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours in a semester at SXU.
Applicants must complete a student information form as well as submit a personal statement (a maximum of 2 pages in length) indicating their educational and career goals and how their South Suburban College and Saint Xavier degrees will help them accomplish their goals. Applicants must also obtain a reference from one faculty member from South Suburban College prior to the application deadline.
Please note: A student can only qualify for only one merit scholarship: the Degree Completion Scholarship, the Lifelong Learners Scholarship, the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship or the Transfer Merit Scholarship program. The student will be awarded the top scholarship for which he/she is eligible; these four awards are not eligible to be awarded simultaneously to the same recipient.
