Help After an Assault

If you or someone you know has been assaulted:

Any emergency room will be able to give you immediate medical attention, contact the police and connect you with a sexual violence advocate.


On-campus, immediate assistance is available to you 24/7 from SXU Public Safety. If you don't want to make a police report with Public Safety, you can call 773-298-4400 and request that the Public Safety Dispatch contact the Student Affairs Professional on-call. A professional staff member will return your call.


Off-campus, you may also choose to report to the local police.

If you were subject to or witness of an act of sexual misconduct, we encourage you to submit a Sexual Misconduct Report.

The University will respond to all reports in a timely manner and in accordance with Illinois Law (110 ILCS 155/15).
