Saint Xavier University Chicago Campus

Sexual Misconduct

U Got This!

Saint Xavier University is a community that respects the dignity and worth of each person. In accordance with the University's Catholic, Mercy values and its role as an educational institution, Saint Xavier is committed to an environment that is safe and healthy for students.

To that end, we are requiring that all new incoming students view and complete U Got This! our Guide to Speak Up, Step In, and Create a Better Campus for All an interactive online bystander intervention training. This program will provide critical information about consent, bystander intervention, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, and much more. U Got This! will help you better understand how vitally important these issues are and what you can do to help make our campus safer.

This training contains content and language that explores sexual and interpersonal violence in our culture and may trigger an emotional response. If, for whatever reason, you are uncomfortable or concerned about the content you are welcome to contact Samantha Maher Sheahan, associate dean of students, at 773-298-3123. We can then make arrangements to complete the training in a different setting.

Each student will receive an email in August directing them to a landing page to access the THREE MODULES that make up this training. Please allow at least 20 minutes to complete EACH module. You will be credited with completing a given module once you are connected to a completion page at the end of the interactive session. Users who disconnect from the site before completing a specific module will need to restart the module from the beginning when logging back in.

All training modules must be completed prior to October 15, 2018.

The training is designed to be engaging and truly interactive. We hope you enjoy it!
