We are a unique program in the Chicagoland area, as our students start their clinical
experience at SXU’s Ludden Speech and Language Clinic. This unique on-campus clinic
provides individual and group speech and language therapy to community members of
all ages and communication disorders. The clinic remains free of charge, allowing
our students to carry out our Mercy mission of service.
As you progress through our program, we will take you through the theory of communication
sciences and disorders in your coursework and provide you access to individualized
clinical settings such as schools, hospitals and private clinics at the graduate level.
You will also have the opportunity to engage in fascinating research and we will prepare
you to be an advocate for social change within your communities.
