Studying New Media Production equips students with the creative, technical and critical skills need to thrive in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. This interdisciplinary major is designed to bring together faculty and students from across several arenas of creative communication and production. Merging the newest techniques in Art, Communication and Music, students at Saint Xavier University will be challenged to not only look at how to work with new media, but how to combine media, techniques and theories from different disciplines.
Admission to the Program
All students are welcome to declare a New Media Production major. There is no formal admission process, however, students are required to submit portfolios every year. Failure to submit an annual portfolio will lead to removal from the department. By the end of the junior year, students will submit another portfolio showing their creative direction that they will focus on for the New Media capstone.
