Biography

Katie Schlee has been working as a family nurse practitioner at the SXU Health Center since 2013 and is passionate about addressing our patients' needs for health and wellness. She blends clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions with an emphasis on health education in order to empower patients to take control of their own health. Schlee worked for 10 years as an adult intensive care unit nurse before becoming certified as both an adult and family nurse practitioner. Schlee is also certified to complete Department of Transportation physicals, CPR/first aid, and lead the Courage to Quit® Tobacco Cessation program. Schlee received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University, her Master of Science in Nursing from New York University and a post-master's certificate from Northern Illinois University.
