Biography

I received my B.A. from SXU in Philosophy and my M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in Jewish Studies. I, along with the dedicated faculty and staff, have spent years identifying and responding to the strengths and needs of our University's evolving and growing community. The Center of Learning and Student Support (CLASS) was formed to embody that commitment. Our skilled staff members, peer tutors, and writing consultants aim to empower our students and continue their lifelong love of learning. As an HSI (Hispanic serving institution) I would like to see CLASS support the historically underserved, the first-generation, and multilingual students, as well as strengthen the writing and critical thinking skills of those starting, continuing, and returning to college. In addition to overseeing the Center, I also teach in the Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Theology department. Please do not hesitate to visit me or our area for more information.
