Biography

I received my B.A. from SXU in Philosophy and my M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in Jewish Studies. I teach in the Philosophy, Religious Studies and Theology Department as well as in the Honors program. My area of concentration is in feminism, particularly Jewish feminism and the Hebrew Bible. I, along with the dedicated faculty and staff, have spent years identifying and responding to the strengths and needs of our University's evolving and growing community. The Learning Center embodies this commitment. Our skilled peer tutors and writing consultants aim to empower students. As an HSI (Hispanic serving institution) I want the Learning Center to support the historically underserved, the first-generation, and multilingual students, as well as strengthen the writing and critical thinking skills of those starting, continuing, and returning to college.
