Biography

Stephanie Mulholland, MS, CCC-SLP, is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and feeding therapist. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at Saint Xavier University's Ludden Speech and Language Clinic, where she provides clinical supervision to graduate students in
their practicum experiences. Mulholland is passionate about mentoring future speech-language pathologists and finds joy in guiding students as they discover their clinical voices and develop confidence in their skills.

Her clinical work focuses on supporting children with brain-based differences that affect communication and swallowing, including autism, dysphagia, echolalia, gestalt language processing, ADHD, and demand avoidance. She has pursued advanced training, including the Gestalt Language Processing Certification with Meaningful Speech, and she is a trained DIR Floortime provider.

At the heart of her work, Mulholland believes therapy should be child-led and family-centered. She is deeply committed to empowering children by honoring their individuality and building on their strengths. Her approach emphasizes that meaningful progress happens when children feel safe, respected, and connected through strong relationships.

Beyond her clinical role, Mulholland is actively involved in advancing the profession. She contributes to interdisciplinary research with PDA North America, owns and operates a private practice in Naperville, Illinois, and serves on both the Billing and Reimbursement Committee and the Legal Action Committee of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Through these roles, she works to support neurodivergent individuals while advocating for the growth and recognition of the speech-language pathology field.
