Biography

Kristine Florczak's primary interests are in theory, research and epidemiology. Recent published works include the nature of maintaining bonds with deceased loved ones. Florczak's dissertation work was on the lived experience of sacrificing something important. All of her studies are underpinned by the humanbecoming school of thought created by Dr. Rosemarie Rizzo Parse. Florczak also wrote for and was a contributing editor to Nursing Science Quarterly, a journal dedicated to nursing theory, research and practice. Her 20 years of clinical practice focused mainly on the care of critically ill patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
