Scholarship Details

Community college students enrolled in a Guaranteed Admission or Dual Degree partnership agreement with SXU have the opportunity to apply for our Full-Tuition Scholarship. Qualifying students must:

  • Have a GPA of 2.75 or above out of a 4.0 scale.
  • Include a 300-500 word personal statement describing your educational and career goals, any evidence of community and school involvement, and how you envision your experience at SXU.
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff member at your current community college.

All applications for the SXU Full-Tuition Scholarship must be submitted by April 1 for students entering SXU in the summer or fall semester and December 1 for students entering in the spring semester. A limited number of Full-Tuition Scholarships are awarded each year.

To be eligible to apply for the Full-Tuition Scholarship, students need to first apply and be accepted to one of our Guaranteed Admission or Dual Degree Partnerships. The Guaranteed Admission and Dual Degree Partnership programs are intended for students who are early in their studies at a community college, and who plan to enroll at SXU in the future. Students are encouraged to apply for participation in one of these partnerships a year or more prior to their intended start date at SXU. Once accepted as a partnership participant, students will be provided application instructions for the Full-Tuition Scholarship. This scholarship covers remaining tuition costs after state and/or federal gift aid. The student is responsible for associated undergraduate fees. The scholarship is available for three consecutive years provided the recipient maintains full-time enrollment and remains in good academic and disciplinary standing. Current, former or re-admitted SXU students are not eligible for the Full-Tuition Scholarship.
