15th Annual Golf Classic
Saint Xavier University alumni, benefactors and friends gathered for a day on the links at SXU's 15th Annual Golf Classic at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park. The event drew over 175 participants -- including former Chicago Bears player and SXU Golf Classic Committee member Bruce Herron -- and raised more than $120,000, with all proceeds going to student scholarships.
The event featured two successful live auctions: a foursome at The Bear Golf Course in Traverse City, including same-day travel in a private plane, and President Christine Wiseman to host and cook "Dinner with the President" in her home for four people. Also, a series of raffle prizes were drawn, including an Apple iPad2, a flat screen TV, a Trek mountain bike as well as a variety of golf items and prize packages.
