Communication

The Communication Department offers students the opportunity to study both mediated (electronic or print media) and non-mediated (organizational, interpersonal, small group) communication.

The program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Faculty blends strong academic preparation with real world experiences at print media, broadcast and other organizations. Smaller classroom sizes provide students with personal attention from the instructor and allows for a more engaged discussion with their peers.

Programs of Study

The Communication Department offers a range of programs that fit the needs of not only communication majors but also the needs of general education students. The department offers a major in Communication with three concentration options including: Strategic Communication, Media Communication and Sports Communication. The department also offers a minor in Communication.
