General Resources
You will find a number of general resources to help you prepare for career and educational opportunities as a student with a disability. In addition, you will find advocacy resources highlighting information on anti-discrimination laws, equal opportunity, and employment accommodations.
Titles I and V of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 outline employment discrimination laws with regard to people with disabilities.
ABILITY Magazine strives to change public perception of what it means to have a disability and focuses
on ability while shattering myths and stereotypes that surround disabilities.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against
a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex
(including pregnancy, gender identity and sexual orientation), national origin, age
