Mass Schedule for Academic Year
Masses are held during the academic year, with mass every Wednesday at noon. There will be no masses during school breaks and holidays. Please view the SXU Calendar for the Sunday mass, any special masses, and the break schedule.
Please note a new mass time will begin on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Mass will be at
7 p.m. and continue with that time moving forward on Sundays.
Liturgical Ministries
Share your gifts with the Saint Xavier University faith community!
We are looking for students to participate in Chapel Choir as vocalists and musicians, lectors, eucharistic ministers, and greeters/ushers.
Chapel Choir practices every Sunday at 7 p.m. before 8 p.m. Sunday Student Mass. All are welcome on any Sunday.
Lector and Eucharistic Minister Training is held in the chapel at the beginning of each semester. If you are interested, please contact, the Director of Campus Ministry, Kateri Golbiw, golbiwFREESXU.
Prayer
McDonough Chapel is open for private prayer and meditation Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout the entire year.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered semi-annually during Advent and Lent, and also by request before or after mass, pending priest's availability.
Other Opportunities for Prayer
Opportunities exists outside of the Chapel for students to engage in prayer and reflection. The Meditation Room is quiet welcoming space in the Campus Ministry Office in Rubloff 110. A Muslim Prayer Room is located in the Warde Academic Center in L307.
