Four-Year SUCCESS Plan
The Four-Year SUCCESS Plan outlines various academic and professional tasks to complete while in school to help you be marketable and successful in a job search after graduation. To access a printable version of the Four-Year SUCCESS Plan, please refer to the Career Readiness Guide.

- Download and log into Navigate and explore resources
- Meet with your academic advisor
- Learn Student Planning to register for classes
- Develop effective study habits and time management skills
- Get involved on campus and in student organizations
- Log into Handshake, a current-student and recent-graduate job board, and complete your profile
- Learn about resources and services available on campus, including employment opportunities that build career readiness and engagement in campus culture
- Develop a resume and have it reviewed by the Career Development Center staff
- Meet with a member of the Center for Learning and Student Support
- Attend the fall and spring Advising and Career Success Days to begin building your network and career competency skills.

- Declare a major if undecided
- Identify academic need within your major and schedule a tutoring appointment
- Start your job search early (at least two semesters before graduating)
- Create a LinkedIn profile and build your network starting with your fellow students and professors
- Attend career development events and workshops
- Meet with a Career Development Center staff to ensure your interests, strengths, and skills align with academic and career aspirations
- Discover leadership opportunities on campus
- Make connections with faculty in your major

- Explore how your interests, strengths, and skills apply to career options
- Meet with a staff of the Career Development Center to research multiple career and/or graduate school opportunities
- Determine your skills, interests, and values using "What do I do with this major?" career assessment tool
- Apply for internships, job shadowing and explore Forage Job Simulations
- Consider working for the Center for Learning and Student Support as a tutor within your major
- Articulate your area of study and why

- Schedule a mock interview appointment for practice with a staff of the Career Development Center
- Attend the College-to-Career Expo and career workshops
